Inspection & reports

Indispensable for those who do not have specialist knowledge and owners who do not go high, our Mast inspection service and standing rigging, offers an overview of the condition of your Mast and its equipment for safer navigation.

The analysis is performed on composite and metal materials, using non-invasive and non-destructive techniques. The methods mainly used are ultrasound (UT), penetrating liquids (PT) and visual examination (VT). Certification according to the European standard ISO 9712 (RINA).

Often forgotten and left unprotected in one of the most difficult environments, the mast is often overlooked.  When was the last inspection carried out on the mast and rigging?

Our inspection and control service provides the customer with a complete and detailed report covering all aspects of a mast’s condition and rigging components. The report contains pictures and descriptions of any problems encountered, including recommendations on any necessary corrective actions. The importance of some basic maintenance operations should never be underestimated, as it could very well prevent an expensive and potentially dangerous failure. Any metal left in a corrosive environment will become fatigued, and if your rigging is a rod or stainless steel wire, it is generally recommended that the fittings and terminals are disassembled, cleaned and reassembled with the appropriate lubricants every 2 or 3 years. By following some basic procedures we can extend the life of your mast and your rigging, which in the long term will surely save you time and money.
